Hue to Vinh Moc Tunnel By Car

La Vang Holy Land: This is the top visited tourist attraction while visiting the tunnels. This land belongs to Hai Lang community in the Quang Tri province that is 55km away in the north of Hue city. During the seventeenth century, it was believed that emperor CanhThinh feared the spread of Catholicism and issued a ban on it so the Catholics took refuge in the rainforest. Shrine of our Lady of La Vang was constructed by them next to the three banyan trees. It is said that Mary appeared at this place to erase all diseases from the mountain and with the passage of time it became one of the most important Roman Catholics pilgrimage destination.
Hien Luong Bridge (Ben Hai River): Hien Luong Bridge is located on the Ben Hai River. It was constructed according to the territories marked in the Geneva agreement after French Indochina war in 1954. It is a physical division between northern and southern Vietnam. This agreement allowed Ho Chi Minh as the northern and the leading part. It was renamed as the Democratic republic of Vietnam. However, Bao Dai was allowed to lead the southern part of Vietnam and was known as independent state of Vietnam. Bridge was painted in two colors representing both southern and northern territories, in the honor of reunification of both territories.
Vinh Moc Tunnels: This tunnels complex is a very unique tourist attraction with a very strong historical importance. It is located very close to the north and south Vietnam border. These tunnels are considered historically very important because this complex was one of the most successful hiding places during the war. These tunnels saved lives of many villages without getting suffocated and there were no reports of any deaths. Vinh Moc Tunnels attract a huge number of tourists from all over the world to see these most successful hiding place during Vietnam war.
Khe Sanh Cambat Base: It is a large marine base that was attacked by military forces of northern Vietnam to distract the southern Vietnam and American troops in early 1968. You can visit it upon request and the fee is 25+ USD. You can plan a guided tour to know more about the war and history.

Deposit

You can pay by cash after trip or pay online in advance by (Paypal/Credit, Debit Card). Some tours you must deposit some other dont need. And you will finish the balance of the booking for Tour Guide/ Driver when finish the trip. Upon receipt of the deposit, we will send you the confirmation of the reservation as well as the complete itinerary.

Insurance

We are an inbound agency and we do not take care of insurance. The Customers are required to have full travel insurance covered. It is the responsibility of the Customer to read their insurance policy before they travel with us. However, we can act as an intermediary between your insurer and our service suppliers.

Cancellation policy

If the Customer cancels some or all portions of the booking regardless of the reasons, the Customer agrees to pay cancellation fees as follows:

- 2 days before departure day: No cancellation charge
- 1 day before departure day : 50% of the tour price
- Cancel after 12 hours, we will charge 100%

We needed to fetch us from Hue to Vinh Moc Tunnel but wanted to see some attractions along the road. We decided to book private car with Explore Vietnam and were so happy with our choice. We initially wondered why explore vietnam didn’t have many reviews but found out as a top private car services. Friendly driver stop me to visits to a church and war cemetry that were so interesting and worthwhile. Best driver provided background informations about the places where we stopped. Being on our budget we were hesitant about booking a motorbike trip, but this private car from Hue to Vinh Moc tunnel by car was well worth the money and exactly what we expected

We were lucky to have 3 brilliant drivers – Loc, Rin and Top – who not only took great care of us. but were very fun and showed us parts war of Vietnam and the DMZ that we would never have found before. On the way back from the Vinh Moc tunnels to Hue we were taken on along a beautiful coastal road through fishing villages and rice paddies.

It was moving to see the war sites and memorials around the DMZ area and it was really brought to life by Loc, who told us many interesting stories along the way look like any guides.

The Vinh Moc tunnels themselves were fascinating, but it was the company of the drivers and experience of the private car journey that really made it special for us. Totally recommend.
