Carefully planned itinerary can be customizable depending on your condition and preferences. You will have full control over the time and places to visit during the tour.
Hue city tour by private car
The Hue City tour would start by being picked up by our driver at your hotel lobby within Hue City at your preferred time. You may opt to request for a tour guide during the Hue Sightseeing to fully benefit and learn more about the Imperial City of Hue.
Here are the top places you must visit during Hue Sightseeing with a Private Driver:
- Thanh Toan Bridge – an aesthetic tile-roofed wooden bridge that is similar to the famous Chinese-Japanese Bridge in Hoi An Ancient Town. The Thanh Toan Bridge is strategically built next to the local village market thus, you’ll see and interact with locals when visiting the area. It is also nearby the village museum which displays the charm of rustic yet happy lives of local farmers.
- Minh Mang Tomb – the royal tomb was designed and built for the second Nguyen Emperor, Minh Mang. The tomb reflects the values and ideals of the late “most loved” emperor and is considered as the most majestic of all the Royal Tombs in the country. Like no other, Minh Mang Tomb architecture mainly uses Asian Vietnamese designs that harmoniously blends with its natural surroundings.
- Khai Dinh Tomb – the most lavish of all the Royal Tombs. The 12th Nguyen Emperor Khai Dinh was keen to details and this is highly shown through his tomb. It is undeniably small in terms of area but the exquisite blend of Western and Eastern architecture makes the Khai Dinh Tomb one of the most visited tombs amongst all in the country.
- Lunch could be anywhere within the Hue city. Hue is not as big as Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh though there are certainly a lot of great places to try out the Hue royal cuisine. You may ask your driver for a legit local food and restaurant recommendation.
- Hue Citadel – the highlight of the Hue Sightseeing, the UNESCO recognized World Heritage Site walled imperial city of the majestic Nguyen Dynasty. The Hue Citadel was home to the last royal family of Vietnam, the Nguyen Dynasty. The huge walled complex astonishingly survived too many battles and portions are being restored to their former glory. Make sure to explore every corner of the Hue Citadel and learn the ways of the Vietnamese royals.
- Thien Mu Pagoda (Heaven Fairy Lady Pagoda) – the structure behind the Hue official symbol and one of the oldest pagodas in the city. Given the history of the pagoda, it is one of the must visit places in Hue city. The serene and solemn ambiance of the Thien Mu Pagoda attracts both local and foreign travelers. Not to mention the beautiful sunset view over the Perfume River.
The best way to end the Hue city tour would be the royal like, getting on a dragon boat cruise back to the city. Capturing the beautiful scene of the rustic yet mesmerizing Hue city and its residents before being dropped off at your hotel lobby.

We booked a private driver the night before (10:30pm) and he picked us up at 8am. Very glad they were able to answer my WhatsApp so late in the night! I even customised the locations I wanted to go.
The car was very clean and modern.
The driver, Tree, was very funny and helpful. We had a good laugh and his English was good.
If you’re looking for a safe reliable way to get around Hue, I would recommend this company!
