Hue City is the ancient capital of Vietnam. It became the country’s imperial capital when Gia Long proclaimed himself as the new emperor and declared Hue as his chosen capital. The imperial city of Hue prospered during the reign of the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 – 1945. Hue is now renowned for its natural beauty, cultural heritage sites, long religious history and mouth watering cuisine.

A Hue City Tour from Hoi An is definitely a must experienced tour. The tour does not only showcases the destinations in Hue City but also takes the most beautiful coastal road from Hoi An Ancient Town to the modern Danang city and finally to the ancient imperial city of Hue – a full on Central Vietnam adventure.

Itinerary for Hue City Tour from Hoi An – Small Group Tour

In the morning

7:00 AM – 7:30 AM: Your tour guide and van will pick you up at your hotel in Hoi An. If you are in Da nang, we will pick you up between 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM. Along the way, there will be a quick stop at the highest pass and one of the most scenic coastal roads in Vietnam, the Hai Van Pass. Here you will see a panoramic view of Danang city and the beautiful long white Lang Co beach.
11:30 AM: Visit one of the most aesthetic royal tombs, Khai Dinh Tomb. This jaw dropping blend of Western and Eastern architecture was constructed between 1920-1931 for the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty – Emperor Khai Dinh.

In the afternoon

12:30 PM: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant serving the best Hue dishes.
1:30 PM: Explore one of the UNESCO Heritage Sites in Vietnam and Hue’s main tourist attraction, the Imperial Citadel. The huge complex including the Forbidden Purple City was once home to the Nguyen Emperors since 1804.

3:00 pm: Get amazed at the beautiful and tranquil Thien Mu Pagoda, the tallest pagoda in Vietnam. This seven-story pagoda was built in 1601 and witnessed different events that befell the city yet it is still standing. Due to its beauty, it became a common subject to many local folk rhymes and is considered the unofficial symbol of Hue.
4:00 pm: Head back to Da Nang or Hoi An via the Hai Van Tunnel. Approximate arrival in Danang is 6:30 PM while 7:15 PM for Hoi An. End of Hue City Tour from Hoi An – Small Group Tour.

And you will finish the balance of the booking for Tour Guide/ Driver when finish the trip. Upon receipt of the deposit, we will send you the confirmation of the reservation as well as the complete itinerary.

Cancellation policy

If the Customer cancels some or all portions of the booking regardless of the reasons, the Customer agrees to pay cancellation fees as follows:

- 2 days before departure day: No cancellation charge
- 1 day before departure day : 50% of the tour price
- Cancel after 12 hours, we will charge 100%

We traveled with Mr Tuyen from Hoi An to Hue and loved it so much we booked for the small group city tour . Mr Tuyen spoke great English and was able to tell us about sights along the way. I and my husband had a wonderful trip between Hue and Hoi An with Jen. Her English is great and she gave interesting information along the way. We and my husband made a few stops including a very special overlook that seemed a bit of a secret.

Amazing Hue day trip with Anthony and Loan
This company proved themselves a very professional company from the minute we filled out a booking request online. Within seconds I received a Gmail to confirm the service.
On the day itself our driver ANTHONY Mai was absolutely amazing – welcoming us with water and the most comfortable air conditioned car (37 degrees out so very needed) which smelled sparkling clean. He drove us to Hue stopping at the Hai Van pass and Lang Co beach for some photos. He was extremely friendly and spoke English with us – telling us different information on the way.
Once in Hue we were joined by Loan (Jen) our tour guide who showed us around the Imperial Palace and Pagoda. She has brilliant English, a sparkling sense of humour and lots of fun stories to help us remember the history of each place we visited.
Our lunch in Madame Thu was also a huge highlight as we sampled delicious local dishes and cooled off from the hot outdoors.
At the end Anthony drove us back to Hoi An. 100% recommend this company !
