Da Nang airport is only a 10-minute drive away from the city center and it is the third largest airport of Vietnam. Various domestic and international airlines operate here some of them are from Bangkok, Hong Kong, Phnom Penh, Vientiane, Taipei and many others. You will use this airport if you are planning to explore My Khe beach and UNESCO world heritage listed ancient Hoi An city. This airport was constructed in 1940 with two 3045 meters long runways.
You need to go through the quarantine concourse near the baggage claim after arriving at Da Nang Airport. You also have to fill the in a form on VOA desk before handing over your passport and confirmation letter if you applied your visa online. Although the waiting time depends upon the queue on the airport but normally it takes 15 minutes to get your passport back.

All check in counters are located on the ground floor in the terminal building. All international counters will be directly in front of you after you pass through the initial security checkpoint. You need to pass a final security check point at the boarding gate before boarding your flight.
Da Nang Airport Taxis
Airport taxis or private cars are the only ways to reach Da Nang city center that is almost 2.5 km in the southwest of the city. Almost all taxi companies have fixed rates whereas if you choose metered taxis, then make sure your driver turns on the meter. Taxi drivers mostly avoid charging large notes so try to keep some change before hopping in the taxi. One-way taxi trip to Da Nang costs about VND 70,000.

There are two restaurants in domestic travel areas where you can have snacks or drinks while waiting for your flight. Domestic arrivals hall has a café whereas the second restaurant is located in front of the passenger terminal. Restaurant in front of the passenger terminal serves light meals and drinks.
