Hoi An boasts a range of dishes which are unique to central Vietnam. Due to being positioned centrally along the coast, Hoi An arguably has some of the freshest and more traditional ingredients used in cooking. At Hoi An Cooking Class, we offer you something completely special. Do you love traditional Vietnamese food? Do you wonder how your favourite local dishes are prepared? If so, this cooking class tour is for you!

HOI AN COOKING CLASS

8:00 am or 2:00 pm: We will meet you at your hotel in the city center and go to market to purchase all fresh ingredients for the class. The market in Hoi An are interesting place where local people show local produce, spices, and proteins used in everyday life in Vietnam. In here, we will learn about the different vegetables, herbs, fruits and spices.

Next up, we board coconut basket boats for a relaxing 30-minute ride around the beautiful coconut forest.

We then walk through to our teaching kitchen overlooking the water coconut trees. Start Hoi An Cooking Class.

Here are the dishes we cooked:

Banh Xeo (Steamed Rice Cake) – Vietnamese savoury pancake with pork, shrimp, green onion and bean sprouts inside.
Pho Bo (Beef Noodle Soup) – the national dish of Vietnam.
Goi Cuon (Fresh Spring Rolls) – consisting of prawn, rice vermicelli, vegetables and other ingredients wrapped in Rice Paper.
Goi Hoa Chuoi (Banana Flower Salad) – Shredded Banana Flower with carrot, cucumber, squid, shrimp and peanuts.
Sweet & Sour Fish Sauce – special sauce of Vietnamese

Besides that, you will have a chance to make rice paper in Hoi An with the traditional way.

After your interactive and enjoyable cooking class, you will get to enjoy savour special traditional Viet Nam dishes you have just cooked.

Finally, you will go back your hotel. Finish the tour “Hoi An Cooking Class”.

Deposit

You can pay by cash after trip or pay online in advance by (Paypal/Credit, Debit Card). Some tours you must deposit some other dont need. And you will finish the balance of the booking for Tour Guide/ Driver when finish the trip. Upon receipt of the deposit, we will send you the confirmation of the reservation as well as the complete itinerary.

Cancellation policy

If the Customer cancels some or all portions of the booking regardless of the reasons, the Customer agrees to pay cancellation fees as follows:

- 2 days before departure day: No cancellation charge
- 1 day before departure day : 50% of the tour price
- Cancel after 12 hours, we will charge 100%

This is an interactive and enjoyable cooking class that I will implore you not to miss while in Hoi An. In this class, I was taught how to source fresh ingredients at the market, cook mouthwatering dishes in a traditional way and before eating the dishes. This is definitely among the best thing I did in Hoi An. In this cooking class, I get to soak in the atmosphere of the vibrant Hoi An market, go on a coconut basket boats around an enchanting coconut forest, and also get to make and try out the local delicacies. Thanks for the experience.

I am really glad we joined this cooking class as it is one of the highlights of our vacation in Hoi An for my wife. She loved the picturesque scenery of the kitchen where we are taught how to cook. The kitchen is neat and we are taught how to cook different local cuisines. I joined this cooking class to learn how to cook my favorite Vietnamese dish BanxXeo and it was a great experience. I also get to improve my haggling skills and learn how to choose the freshest ingredients in the market. In addition to learning how to cook BanxXeo, we also cooked varieties of other dishes. The cooking class experience then ended as we tried out our dish before we head back to the hotel.

I got to enjoy a mouthwatering gastronomy experience of the local cuisines in Hoi An by joining this cooking class. The best thing about this class is that we will go and source for fresh ingredients for the dishes where we learned about the diversity of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and spices available in the country.
