Can Gio Ecotourism Area is one of Vietnam’s first biosphere reserves, home to a rich variety of terrestrial and aquatic species within the expansive delta of estuaries. Recognized by UNESCO, it stands out as a remarkable biosphere reserve and a key tourist destination in Vietnam.

Often referred to as the city’s “green oasis”, Can Gio features pristine mangroves. While the beach may not offer much in terms of bathing space, it compensates with its tranquil and airy atmosphere.

Spanning approximately 714 km², half of this area is covered by mangrove forests. Following years of natural rehabilitation, the forest has grown to 12,000 hectares, alongside 20,000 hectares of planted forests. Today, Can Gio serves as a vital “green lung,” helping to regulate the climate of Ho Chi Minh City.

Detailed Itinerary:

• 8:00 AM: Our private car will pick you up from your hotel. After a 40-minute drive, we’ll reach Binh Khanh Ferry and take a 20-minute boat ride to Can Gio. Enjoy the scenic views along the way.
• 10:00 AM: Arrive at Can Gio mangrove forest. Take time to breathe in the fresh air while learning about the daily lives of locals along the riverbanks and the unique flora and fauna of the mangrove ecosystem.
• Next, we’ll canoe through the forest to visit the Bat Lagoon, a crab pond, and a friendly herd of deer, where you can feed them. You’ll also visit a crocodile farm to learn about the hatching process and have the opportunity to fish for crocodiles from a cruise boat.
• Then, we’ll head to Vam Sat center, where you can take in panoramic views of the mangrove forest from the Tang Bong tower and challenge yourself on a suspension bridge.
• 1:00 PM: After the morning activities, enjoy lunch at Carrot Restaurant and relax before continuing your Can Gio tour in the afternoon.
• 2:30 PM: We’ll visit Monkey Island, home to over 1,000 monkeys. You’ll have the chance to feed and take photos with them as they playfully surround you.
• 3:30 PM: We’ll return to Binh Khanh Ferry and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. The private car Can Gio will conclude around 5:00 PM.
