the East Sea.\u00a0 The Tien Sa Terminal of Da Nang\u2019s Ports are at the bottom of the western side of the mountain and that is where you will find Tien Sa Beach too.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" find the old <a href=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/da-nang\/visit-monkey-mountain-da-nang\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"15\" title=\"Monkey Mountain\">Monkey Mountain<\/a> Facility, which was once a US military base during the Vietnam War.<\/p>\n<p>When you are down at the base of <strong>Son Tra Mountain Da Nang<\/strong>, you are going to find so many amazing things, especially near, and in, the water.\u00a0 There are dozens of different coral species, sea grass, seaweed, mollusks, starfish, urchins, and plankton.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3054 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/hoi-an\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Monkey-Mountain-Son-Tra-Peninsula.jpg\" alt=\"Son Tra Mountain\" width=\"850\" height=\"500\" the Tien Sa port gates, you will find the Y PhaNho Cemetery.\u00a0 This graveyard is on, Yet Kieu Road, and it is where all the Spanish and French soldiers who died during the Franco-Spanish expedition are buried.\u00a0 Inside the cemetery, you will find a small white chapel that has a modest sized shrine.\u00a0 There are also thirty-two large and small graves that are not labeled.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2436 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/hoi-an\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/SonTra-Peninsula.jpg\" alt=\"Linh https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/hoi-an\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/SonTra-Peninsula-768x452.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/da-nang\/linh-ung-pagoda-wishes-answered-miraculously-in-da-nang\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"94\" title=\"Linh Ung Pagoda\">Linh Ung Pagoda<\/a> can also be found on <em><strong>Son Tra Mountain Da Nan<\/strong><\/em>g and it is considered the largest pagoda in the central part of this country.\u00a0 Within the courtyard of the pagoda, you will see a sixty-seven-meter-tall statue of the Goddess of Mercy.\u00a0 She is the tallest Buddha statue in the country, and you can see it from many different areas of the city.\u00a0 There is no entrance fee for this pagoda, so make sure you take the time and include it on your ever-expanding itinerary.<\/p>\n<p>The Dong Dinh Museum can also be found near <em><strong>Son Tra Mountain Da Nang<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 This was the first private museum within the city, and it was founded by Doan Huy Giao.\u00a0 There are multiple artifacts inside this museum, and they date back anywhere from one hundred years to twenty-five hundred years ago.\u00a0 Most of the artifacts belong to the ancient cultures of Cham Pa, Dai Viet, and Sa Huynh, so be prepared to learn a little about each one.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3057 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/hoi-an\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/ban-co-peak.jpg\" alt=\"ban co peak - Son Tra Mountain\" width=\"850\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/hoi-an\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/ban-co-peak.jpg 850w, 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The tallest peak of these mountains is Ban Co and it stands at least six hundred meters above sea level.\u00a0 You will love the panoramic views from the top of this mountain, including <a href=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/hoi-an\/cham-island-snorkeling\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"53\" title=\"Cham Island\">Cham Islands<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/da-nang\/things-to-do-at-ba-na-hills\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"bana hills\">Ba Na Hills<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/hue\/hai-van-pass-top-gear-the-most-marvelous-wonder-in-vietnam\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Hai Van Pass\">Hai Van Pass<\/a>, Lien Chieu Bay, and the sparkling water of the sea.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3055 aligncenter\" four hours to hike from Bai Bac Beach to the top of <strong>Son Tra Mountain Da Nang<\/strong>, but that time is worthwhile, especially if you have the time to spot a lot of the local wildlife.\u00a0 The animals you may see include the red-shanked douc langur, the rhesus macaques, the pygmy slow loris, and long-tailed macaques.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3061 hike to while on this mountain is the old <a href=\"https:\/\/explorevietnam.com.vn\/da-nang\/explore-the-over-1000-year-banyan-tree-on-son-tra-peninsula\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"121\" title=\"over 1000 year Banyan Tree\">banyan tree<\/a>.\u00a0 This massive tree is more than eight hundred years old and some of the locals insist that it could even be one thousand years old.\u00a0 The tree is more than twenty meters tall and there are nine root clusters that have grown up before going back down into the ground.<\/p>\n<p><img drive to the top of <strong>Son Tra Mountain Da Nang<\/strong>, but please use caution on the narrow, winding roads that have extremely sharp turns.\u00a0 You must have a powerful vehicle to reach the summit of this mountain, although motorcycles have made it up easily.\u00a0 If you are terrified of trying to conquer this road on your own, you can call a taxi and have the driver make the drive for at any time of the day, but the best time to be there is between the hours of seven o\u2019clock in the morning and two o\u2019clock in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>There are so many things that you can do in Da Nang, which is why you must plan your itinerary carefully prior to your arrival.\u00a0 There are many mountains, temples, monuments, and other attractions in this city, and you will want to choose the ones that interest you the most.\u00a0 If you manage to see all the places on your list and still have time left over, you can easily take the time to see a few of the ones that didn\u2019t
